Your team member is resistant to role-playing in sales coaching. How can you effectively engage them?
Lots of great answers here. I've used roleplays to help software engineers prep for giving interviews in the past, and run into resistance. I agree with the suggestions here for a leader and/or senior rep to model vulnerability and quality roleplaying in front of the group. Another tactic to reduce social pressure is to start with roleplays in breakout groups. Have reps pair off and do 1:1 roleplays outside of the main group, then come back to the group for a structured debrief: what worked, what didn't, what would you do differently next time.
